The titles I choose for each talk are pretty random and I’ve realised there’s not much point providing a detailed account of the show here. It would take ages each week, no-one would read it anyway. The best thing is just to dive into the show by clicking above – feel free to skip around, these things tend to go on (and on…) – and see what shows up! In any case, there will always be:
Creative Stuff
This is at the heart of each show: the idea that we are all born infinitely creative and that realising this to the fullest is a great way to lead a joyful, exciting, worthwhile and caring life. I will share all my latest creations, such as paintings, photos, poems and creative prose. I hope this will inspire to to create lots too. If ever you catch me being anything other than joyful, excited, worthwhile and caring, well, I guess we all have our off days!
Productive Stuff
Creative ideas and dreams are wonderful; wonderful fun, but if they remain only ideas and dreams, we’re wasting our time, unless our job happens to be sitting around a campfire telling stories… So another vital part of the Sabsang is to describe how I manage to produce what I do, the difficulties I have when I don’t produce as much as I want to, and ways of producing lots without forcing it or it will stop being fun and the quality will go down.
Deep ‘n’ Meaningful Stuff
If the creative topics look at what we can create, and the productive subjects work on how to bring stuff out of the realms of imagination and into the real world, the deep and meaningful areas are more about why we actually want to create at at all. This can take us deep into a fascinating discussion on the meaning of life, the universe and everything, but I try to keep it rooted in the real, or at least discuss these profound questions with humour and practicality so we can actually get something useful out of the conversation!
Random Stuff
Last, but certainly not least, there will be plenty of lighter moments, when the funny situations, the curiosities, the irony and sometimes pure absurdity of everyday life shines through. These four themes fit in with my new mini-video series, which I categories into Creativity Bites, Productivity Bites, Infinity Bites and Curiosity Bites. The videos are only three minutes long and present a single idea or insight for you to take away and… chew on, and complement the rest of my work nicely. Bon appétit!
