Sandie Ferguson helps people find their beauty through health. Dental hygiene is the “art form” that allows her to be a conduit. As she says, “I connect and empower people that I would never meet in any other way. I link people in directions they didn’t even know were necessary . I can’t describe how this works. I love my life and who I meet and connect with. It’s so damn fun.”
Although dental hygiene is how she helps people on the face of it (sorry), she never just “talks teeth”. What she does is far more like coaching, in fact. “I like to find that little ember in people and blow on it. When it fires up the learning begins or awakens. I want people to leave their appointment feeling more alive; more inspired about themselves. I want them to understand the power they hold in their health and get excited about life.”
Sandie is committed to bringing dental care to pretty much everyone, including people on the street who are far from thinking about looking after their teeth or even themselves very much.
She’s a “wildcrafter”, or forager who takes wild plants to use in natural medicines and she has also developed a creative way to bring dental hygiene services pretty much anywhere. Sandie says she can now “set up a full dental hygiene clinic with sterilisation and whitening using just one plug and no running water.” She aims to refine and market this solution.
